Jacob Miller and the Bridge City Crooners pull textures from a wealth of musical idioms, from early jazz to country blues to jugband swing, with influences from 60s B-side soul and early rock. The result is a music for the new Depression—created, not recreated.

Rory Van James is a Seattle based singer/songwriter. After leaving behind a steady following as an artist in Duluth, MN and a career as a professional baseball player, Rory headed to the coastal Wilderness of Alaska where he began writing songs for his first studio album with Rory James and The Majestic. Upon receiving an offer to record in Seattle, he then began a music career in the Pacific Northwest. Rory Van James is set to release his first solo record “Sewn Silhouettes” in March of 2017. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London by producer Rob Cas (Universal, Marshall Records) this record tells a story of a man in the 60’s who was drafted into the Vietnam War and decided to flee his country and landed in the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.

Y La Bamba (Luz Elena Mendoza duo)
Where genres intersect to redefine the very nature of a song within a composition –while the listener actively interprets these junctions– is where the album Ojos Del Sol precariously teeters. Luz Elena Mendoza, who pilots a mysterious musical project known as Y La Bamba, produces genre-bending songs whose melodies and harmonies drift and swirl through exceptional compositions, presenting the listener with Luz’s unique life perspectives and personal beliefs.
